Cookies and trackers
What saqf stores on your device, what your choice really controls, and how to change it.
Updated October 2, 2026
1. The principle
saqf uses no advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and shares nothing with ad networks. A single third-party tool measures how the service is used: PostHog, hosted in the European Union (§4). It works for saqf only.
Two things depend on your choice: keeping an anonymous usage-measurement id on your device (§4), and error reports (§5). Until you answer, both are refused: usage measurement stores nothing on your device and the error-reporting tool is not loaded. Your choice is kept for 180 days, then you are asked again.
2. Strictly necessary (always on)
Without them the service does not work. They do not depend on your choice.
- sb-… (session)
- Sign-in cookies. Keep you signed in from one page to the next. Set only after you sign in.
- NEXT_LOCALE
- Remembers the language you chose.
- saqf_consent
- Records the choice you make on this page. Duration: 180 days.
- saqf_workspace
- For a professional account: remembers whether you act in your own name or for your agency. Duration: one year.
- Anti-bot check
- When it is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile is loaded on the website's sign-in page, for the sole purpose of telling a person from a bot.
3. View counting (no identifier)
We count how many times a listing has been viewed, to tell its seller. This counting is done by saqf, with no third-party tool, and only produces a total per listing and per day.
- saqf_view_session (session storage, not a cookie)
- A value drawn at random at the start of your visit. On the web it is kept in the browser's session storage, which erases it when closed; in the app it exists only in memory. It is never sent as such: our servers receive a fingerprint computed from it and the listing's reference, different for every listing, and erase it after two days.
The counter therefore shows views, not unique visitors: the same person coming back after closing their browser is counted again.
The former saqf_vid identifier is no longer created, and it is removed from your browser or app on your first visit.
4. Usage measurement (PostHog)
To know how saqf is used (pages viewed, searches run, publishing steps, messages sent), we use PostHog, hosted in the European Union. Each event carries the display language, the device type and the country, which PostHog derives from your IP address. Never your name, number, e-mail, the text of your messages or a precise location; page addresses keep only the search filters.
- Without your consent: in memory only
- PostHog runs with no cookie and no storage on your device: its anonymous id lasts only as long as the page (or as the app is open). Even when you are signed in, nothing is linked to your account, and two visits cannot be linked together.
- ph_…_posthog (local storage, with your consent)
- The anonymous id is kept in the browser's local storage (in the app: saqf.analytics.id) to recognise your device from one visit to the next. When you are signed in, your visits are linked to your account's technical id, never your name, number or e-mail. If you withdraw your consent, the id is erased and the link with your account ends.
No session recording, no capture of what you type. If you delete your account, the measurement data linked to your account is erased at PostHog.
5. Error reports (with your consent)
If you accept, saqf loads an error-reporting tool (Sentry) that tells us about crashes in your browser or in the app: error message, stack trace, page concerned and language. If you refuse, the tool is never loaded.
These reports never contain your identity, your number, your e-mail, the content of your messages, your cookies or your session tokens: they are removed before sending. No screenshots and no session recording.
Errors on our servers may also be sent to this tool. That does not go through your device and so does not depend on your choice; it is described in the privacy policy.
6. What stays on your device
Some settings are kept in your browser's or the app's storage: your number's country and the code delivery channel (WhatsApp or SMS) on the sign-in screen, the app's language, and your recently viewed listings. Clearing the site's data erases them.
7. Listing videos
A listing may contain a YouTube or Vimeo video. The player is not loaded with the page: it is only loaded when you open the listing's gallery and reach the video. YouTube is then used in its no-cookie mode. The player may store its own data, under YouTube's or Vimeo's rules.
8. Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time from the panel on this page. Refusing after accepting stops the error-reporting tool and erases the usage-measurement id from your device.
Your browser also lets you block or erase cookies. Erasing saqf's signs you out and brings the cookie question back.
Your choices
These settings apply to this device only. You can come back to them at any time from this page.
No choice saved: error reports are off and usage measurement stores nothing on your device.
Strictly necessary
Signing in, the interface language, and remembering this choice. Always on: without them the service does not work.
Error reports
Tells us about crashes in your browser, without your identity or the content of your messages. If you refuse, the tool is never loaded.
Usage measurement
Lets PostHog (hosted in the European Union) recognise your device from one visit to the next and, when you are signed in, link your visits to a technical id of your account. Without your consent, nothing is stored on your device or linked to your account. Never your number, e-mail or messages.
